Test case Module-wise bulk Import


Overview

Module-wise Bulk Update option for test cases, You can now update multiple test cases within a specific module simultaneously, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

How do we update the test cases in a specific module ?

  1. select the module you wish to update. You can bulk update multiple test cases at once.

  1. Click on the bulk import option available on the test case page
  2. Simply download the sample download file ( CSV, XLS) to update the changes.

  1. Open the exported file in any software (Excel, Google Spreadsheet, etc,)
  2. The Fields (Title, Type, Priorities, Estimate, Reference, Pre condition, Mode, Tags, Test suits, Description, and Custom Fields ) can be Bulk Updated.

Note that the first column case API Key cannot be changed, since system-defined.

  1. Edit the columns containing the data you wanted to update.
  2. Upload the file(CSV,XLS,XLSX) to Import (Bulk Update)
  3. Click on the Import Button.
  4. Test Cases were updated successfully.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and update your test cases in bulk.

Bulk update for steps and expected results column:

The step and expected results column Existing data can be updated. But the Unique ID in the steps should not be changed. You can also add additional new step(s) in the steps and expected result.

Mapping Column in the fields:

After Uploading the file, you will see the Mapping fields page then Map the required field. The Below image depicts the mapping fields in Testcase. Case API Key field is mandatory.

Note: Whenever you want to update your existing test cases in bulk, you can download your test cases and update the required changes. The active test cases only will be updated. Archived/deleted test cases won’t be updated.
