Issue Custom fields

QA Touch allows you to define custom fields in issues to capture more relevant and project-specific data. These fields enhance flexibility in issue tracking and reporting.

You can create custom fields at two levels:

  1. Global Level – Available across all projects.
  2. Project-Specific Level – Visible only within the selected project.
No Field Type Description
1. Checkboxes Select multiple options from a list.
2. Select Choose a single option from a list.
3. Radio Button Select one option among many.
4. Input Field Enter short text or values.
5. Text Area Enter long text or description.
6. Multi-Select Choose multiple values from a list.

How to add a custom field to an Issue ?

  1. Go to Administration>> Custom field
  2. Click on the Add Fields button
  3. Select the Module Type as Add Issue
  4. Then the project you want, if no project is selected by default all the projects will be selected.
  5. Then select the custom field type as drop-down, input, multi-select, etc..
  6. Click on the Next button.
  7. Add the custom field and name the custom option you need.
  8. Select the check box as mandatory, if you have the custom field as mandatory
  9. Click on the save button, now the custom field will be added to the selected project.
